Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store employing only four people. Total sales for that year amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Within five years of operation, the business had stretched to forty employees and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. Now, Cascade is among the top global manufacturers in the material handling trade.

Design and manufacturing of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young business to aggressively pursue new business possibilities. Throughout the last sixty years, the business of material handling has grown into a really sophisticated area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its progress. Cascade at present continues to grow as the best supplier of lift truck accessories and various related items. The company feels confident in their capability in order to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining competitive within the international market.

Throughout the 1950's, Cascade started to manufacture, design, and sell its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was built in 1956, to be able to house all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which is still the company's present headquarters. Following 15 years of business, total employees reached one hundred eighty staff and sales had reached practically 2.3 million dollars.

In the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next production facility was built. The year 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the global world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

In 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in the year 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing amenities within the continental US to the places Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are fabricated internationally because of many subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This facility is built to be the essential customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 subsequent to buying five companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide best in blades.
